The Alberta Emerald Foundation created the Energy Efficiency Champion Award in 2018 presented by Energy Efficiency Alberta. Ecole McTavish school in Fort McMurray received the 2018 award for their LEAP for Solar Greenhouse and Community Garden initiative. They are using the funds they received from the award to continue their energy efficiency efforts in 2018/19 as part of the Energy Revealed program.
