ESE Certification for Student Teachers

Interested in how new educators can contribute to an equitable and sustainable future? Want to learn some practical ways to inspire connections to nature, ecojustice & sustainability? Join students from teacher education programs across Canada to explore the principles & practices of Environmental & Sustainability Education (ESE) in this online course from the Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communication (EECOM).

Details:

Eligibility: This course is open to teacher candidates who are registered in Canadian teacher education programs in 2022-23.

Dates: The course is offered online in two different sections: Wednesday and Saturday. The Saturday section meets virtually once per month from September to April, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Mountain Time. The Wednesday section meets twice per month from September to December, 5 - 7 p.m. Mountain Time​.

Registration: Register by September 19, 2022. The course fee is $75. A limited number of reduced rate registrations are available.

Modules

Each module is led by an ESE expert. The module Indigenous Ways of Knowing & Two-eyed Seeing will be presented by ACEE's Dr. Marie Tremblay and Indigenous faculty member Dr. Nicole Bell from Trent University's School of Education.
