Grade 10 AYLEE member Subashini Thangadurai was interviewed by CBC for their article: Climate education is inconsistent across Canada, but these students and educators want to fix that. She spoke about her personal experiences with climate education while recognizing that there is little mention of it in the curriculum. "I am quite lucky to have an Earth club at my school right now, which I'm able to take part in. But other than that, there's not a lot in the curriculum, to be honest," she said. Subashini also shared AYLEE's recommendations for advancing environmental, energy, and climate education in Alberta, stating that "[The] climate emergency needs to be something that's being talked about at school because it's super important — and quite frankly, we don't have the time to not talk about it."
