Students On Sustainability Information Session and Workshop

Registration is closed for this event

Students on Sustainability is a program that connects university volunteers with the opportunity to teach in K-12 classrooms.  We offer the chance for you to share your passion for sustainability topics in schools, networking with industry professionals, and improve your presentation skills. The Alberta Council for Environmental Education provides valuable administrative support to ensure the success of this program.

The goal of the 12 January workshop is to introduce our program to you – we hope you’ll agree to become a volunteer after the workshop, but that is up to you! The schedule is as follows:

10:00 - 10:15: Opening Remarks, Patrick Duke, U of C

10:15 - 11:15: Guest Speakers from U of C, Transalta Sustainability Team, Student Energy, Energy for All

11:15 - 11:45: Networking and Module Sign-ups. Coffee and snacks served.

11:45 - 1:00: A fun activity that answers the question: "What is Excellent Education?", Gareth Thomson
